Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of products
- Conduct research and analysis on logistics trends, industry best practices, and new technologies to identify opportunities for improvement
- Support the development and implementation of logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance the overall supply chain performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, production, and customer service, to align logistics operations with the organization’s goals
- Participate in the optimization of inventory management, including forecasting, stock replenishment, and cycle counting
- Help with the tracking and monitoring of logistics performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, cost per unit, and lead times
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of logistics-related documentation, including shipping manifests, customs clearance forms, and carrier contracts
- Assist in the planning and coordination of logistics-related projects, such as warehouse relocations or system implementations
- Provide administrative support, such as data entry, report generation, and filing, to maintain accurate logistics records
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and cross-functional initiatives to continuously learn and develop logistics skills
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address logistics challenges
- Familiarity with logistics concepts, such as inventory management, transportation planning, and warehouse operations
- Proficiency in using logistics-related software and tools, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and organized records
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn, take on new challenges, and contribute to the overall success of the logistics operations
- Previous internship or relevant experience in the logistics or supply chain field is a plus
